CYO programs seek to help young men and women foster strong principles of teamwork and sportsmanship both on and off the field, all while developing their physical talents, learning to play fairly and enthusiastically, and appreciating Christ’s presence in their opponents. Through programs and training linked to parish life, CYO offers young people, coaches and their families another opportunity to work together in communion, showing the world a new vision of “competition” in sports.
Archdiocese of Washington
The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament proudly offers three seasons of sports for our young athletes.
All teams are coached by adult volunteer(s) who have completed Protecting God’s Children, the mandatory child protection training for volunteers who have substantial contact with children. Please keep this opportunity in mind as a way to share some of your time and talent with our parish!
All fees collected are used to cover program costs (e.g. mandatory Archdiocesan registration fees, equipment, uniforms, etc.).
