Are you interested in the Catholic faith? Perhaps you have been attending Mass with us and have sensed the presence of God here. Or you may be someone who has family members that are Catholic. We invite you to learn what the Church teaches and ask those perplexing and difficult questions you may have about the Church. These gatherings are for inquirers and are open to people who are unbaptized, as well as those who are baptized Christians from Protestant, Evangelical backgrounds or Catholics seeking the Sacrament of the Eucharist and/or the Sacrament of Confirmation.
In the R.C.I.A., (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) you will embark upon a nine-month journey of faith, fellowship, and prayer designed for adults who would like to learn (or even re-learn) the basic tenets of Catholicism in an atmosphere that is warm, supportive, and friendly. For some, this journey will take them to the Easter Vigil, where they will be welcomed into the full communion of the Roman Catholic Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
Specifically this class is for: 1) persons who wish to receive the sacrament of Baptism; 2) persons baptized in another Christian tradition who desire to become Catholic 3) persons baptized Catholic who wish to receive the sacraments of First Eucharist and/or the sacrament of Confirmation 4) anyone who would like to learn more about the Catholic faith for the first time or as a refresher. The sessions are free and imply no commitment to convert to Catholicism.
