Faith in the Marketplace
Faith in the Marketplace (FIM) invites all men of the parish to join us:
When: the first Friday of each month, after 6:30 a.m. Mass (7 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.)
Where: the Main Level of the Duffy Parish Center
What: a speaker, a discussion on maintaining and practicing our Catholic faith in today's divergent marketplace, and complimentary coffee and muffins.
Our Mission Statement
The mission of the Blessed Sacrament Faith in The Marketplace (FIM) group is to provide a forum for exploring how men maintain and practice their Catholic faith in today's divergent marketplace. Our aim is to promote fellowship, faith, and community service among the men in our parish.
To sustain this initiative, FIM meets on the first Friday of each month for 6:30 a.m. Mass followed by a coffee, muffins, and a thought provoking discussion of timely issues faced by members of our group in their professional lives. A guest speaker does a brief presentation on how his faith and professional life have intersected to give additional meaning to each part of his life. Meetings break promptly at 7:45 a.m. so attendees can get on with their day in a timely fashion - though all are encouraged to stay for coffee and muffins and to continue the discussion of the day (and more than a handful often do).
We perform community service in support of the Blessed Sacrament family by voluntarily working closely with the Pastor and various community service organizations and their constituent members.
