Welcoming Committee for New Parishioners

The Welcoming Committee for New Parishioners consists of volunteers who are committed to meet with new parishioners shortly after they register with the parish.  The purpose of the program is threefold: (1) to ensure the new parishioner is personally welcomed into the parish community, and has a contact person as a bridge to that community; (2) to provide information for accessing our Parish website, to identify parish programs, services and events; and most especially (3) to offer an opportunity to ask questions about areas of special interest and to see how the parish can respond to the new parishioner's needs.

Additional volunteers are heartily welcome. Requirements are: a willingness to assist new parishioners with the welcoming goals of the program, and a commitment to fulfill visiting assignments on a timely basis.  Volunteers from their 20s to their 70s are needed, both married and single.  We meet twice a year, have flexible visiting schedules, a short training program, and about six to eight assignments per year.  Please join us!
