Irish Night
Blessed Sacrament's Irish Night is designed as a fun evening to build camaraderie among parishioners, friends, relatives, and anyone interested in attending, regardless of ethnic origin. Irish Night, coordinated by Faith in the Marketplace, is held on a Saturday in the gym, typically as close to St. Patrick's day as possible. Admission includes complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks along with a buffet meal, plus entertainment.
A long-time Blessed Sacrament tradition, Irish Night was not held for a number of years until brought back in March, 2008. Entertainment included bagpipes, Irish dancers, and the Sean Fleming Band. Schoolchildren were invited to make large family crests, which decorated the gym, and the meal was catered by the Irish Inn restaurant.
Irish Night 2009 is scheduled for Saturday, March 21.
