Capital Interfaith Hospitality Network (CIHN) is an interfaith, non-profit organization, comprised of 10 northwest Washington congregations working together to provide meals, shelter and companionship to families, including dozens of children, who are homeless.

Blessed Sacrament is a founding member of CIHN. Volunteers are needed to serve meals to the homeless and stay overnight at shelters during the weekend.

CIHN's Answer: Established in 1996, CIHN works in partnership with Capitol Hill Group Ministry to identify families, primarily in southeast Washington, in crisis due to homelessness.  Congregations provide temporary housing in their congregation facilities.  Meals and companionship are provided by hundreds of congregation volunteers.
