Welcome Deacon Harry Prieto!

  • Sep 28, 2016

We are happy to welcome Deacon Harry Prieto who is a fourth year theologian and has been assigned to us for this coming academic year. A native of Bogota (Columbia), he graduated from Fordham University with a double major in mathematics and philosophy. Discerning a vocation to the priesthood, he continued his studies as a graduate student in theology at the Catholic University of America, while residing at Theological College, the Sulpician seminary, Washington, DC. He is studying for the diocese of Bridgeport, Connecticut where he started his ministry as deacon this past summer. As a seminarian, he has served in different ministries, including catechesis, hospital ministry, and service to the poor. In the past, he has also served in different parishes in his diocese. He is thrilled to continue his ministry as a deacon with us here at Blessed Sacrament. An avid road cyclist, when Deacon Prieto is not preparing homilies or studying theology, he is out on the road exploring trails and bike paths around the DC area.
