Teens & Children

The following resources and opportunities are available for children and teenagers at Blessed Sacrament Parish.

Faith Formation

Faith formation opportunities include the School of Religion, which serves children in grades K-8, the Youth Ministry, for students in junior high and high school, and the Children's Liturgy of the Word, for children ages four through third grade who attend the Gym Mass. 

Ministry Opportunities

Children from the fifth grade through high school are encouraged to assist at Mass as altar servers.  Young men and women from the eighth grade through high school are also encouraged to proclaim the readings at Mass as lectors.  On the social service side, opportunities can be arranged through at (202) 449-3987 in the Office of Social Concerns.

Social Activities

Scouting at Blessed Sacrament includes both boy scout and girl scout programs.  An extensive CYO athletic program exists for fall, winter, and spring sports.
